許如清 Xu Ruqing (Jessie) (B.1996)
As a self-taught artist, Ruqing has cultivated a lifelong passion for drawing and painting that remains central to her identity. Alongside a corporate career in data analytics, her interest in technology intersects with her artistry, creating a unique perspective that bridges logic and intuition.
Since childhood, Ruqing has poured her intense feelings, thoughts, and dreams into her art, using abstract forms and vibrant colors to capture sensory experiences—from the rhythms of music and the scents that linger to the textures of touch.
After spending over four years in Los Angeles, she moved to Tokyo, Japan, in 2022, where her art continues to evolve. Her works serve as an inner conversation and an exploration of self, identity, and the subtleties of human experience.
Through her works, Ruqing delves into the profound connections between nature and the human body, the dimensions of time and space, and the complex relationships that shape our lives—whether visible or hidden, fleeting or eternal. Each piece embodies a sense of nostalgia more or less, a quiet reflection of countless mingled and unspoken emotions, expressed through organic forms and dynamic compositions.
